Via San Salvador, companies like Tica Bus drive a route directly to San Pedro Sula, and from San Pedro Sula you will have to take a Hedman Alas bus, which goes straight up to La Ceiba, there are flights leaving everyday from La Ceiba airport, scheduled at 9 A.M. and 3 P.M., the ticket price it's of about US$125. If you would like to stay at the beach for a few days before heading to the island, you can take a shuttle from Surfo's Tiki Travel in Playa El Tunco for $95 at 12 P.M. everyday, the price includes one night in a dorm at Berakah Hotel in Copán, and the price of the ferry once you arrive at La Ceiba on the next day. You could spend the day walking around town, or spend it visiting the Archeological Site of Copán just a kilometer, or half a mile, away from town. You will leave from Copán on the next day at 5 A.M. on a shuttle to heads to La Ceiba where you can take the ferry at 4 P.M. and that's already included on the price. You will arrive to Utila at 6:00 P.M., and you could take a boat from there to Guanaja. Now, if you want to buy a ticket to go Guanaja, then the price drops to $75. GUANAJA, the lost paradise in bay islands:.The small island of Guanaja is about 70 Kms. away from La Ceiba's port. Guanaja was the last stop that Christopher Columbus did before reaching the American continent on his last trip to the New World in 1502. The small island is three miles wide and seven miles long. On a large part of the island cars are not allowed, and the only way to travel around the island is using a water taxi. The people here are traditional fishermen, so the culture of Guanaja is closely related to the sea.
